Is there a fee to join Science Exchange?

• No, it’s free to join the marketplace—there are no costs, commissions or hidden fees.

The application process

• Joining Science Exchange is simple and free—get started by completing the supplier application. 
• We will review your application and run it through our supplier qualification process. 
• We will then send you the Science Exchange Supplier Master Service Agreement (MSA). Please have an authorized signatory electronically sign it. 
• Once we receive the signed agreement, we will send you two links—one to set up your marketplace storefront and another to attend a required training webinar. 

Why do I need to submit an application to join the marketplace? 

• Trust and compliance are very important to our customers and us. All of our suppliers participate in our qualification and risk assessment process.

What does the qualification process include? 

• We use a combination of third-party and proprietary assessments, including Tealbook, Creditsafe, our own artificial intelligence (AI) tool and assessments to verify qualification and compliance criteria. 
• Assessments may include qualifications for HBS, GxP, IT Security and/or, animal compliance. 
• In addition, depending on your services, we may require proof of third-party certifications.

Why do I need to complete a W9 or W-8BEN-E tax form? 

• We require a completed W9 for USA-based companies or a W-8BEN-E for non-USA-based companies in order to issue payment to your company. 

How does the Science Exchange Supplier MSA work?

• Our Supplier MSA is structured based on standard terms and conditions required by buyers on the Science Exchange Marketplace.  
• One Supplier MSA with Science Exchange allows you to work with all buyers on the marketplace—this includes dozens of large pharma and biotech companies. 
• As a supplier, you are a third-party beneficiary to the requester agreement and, if required, you can upload and use contracts you already have in place with existing customers.  
• Your data is secure with an audit trail of customer interactions through our SOC 2 and ISO 9001 certified platform.  
• Engaging with customers through the marketplace ensures your research teams are in compliance with IT security, GDPR, and other compliance criteria.

How do I increase the visibility of my profile on Science Exchange?

• The best way to organically boost your search ranking on Science Exchange is through strong customer reviews and endorsements. In addition, the more orders you bring onto the platform, the higher your profile will rank in search results.

• No, your quote is only visible to you and your potential customer.

Which pharma and biotech companies use Science Exchange?

• We work with many of the world’s top pharma and emerging biotech companies such as Amgen, BMS, Vertex, Gilead, AbbVie, Merck, Regeneron, Rarebase, Prothena, Karuna and many more.

Will all Science Exchange customers be able to work with my company in the marketplace?

• Yes, by agreeing to our MSA, you will have access to all of the biotech and pharma companies in the marketplace.

Are your customers global?

• Yes, we have customers in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

I already have an MSA with a customer, will it be honored by Science Exchange?

• Yes, we do have the ability to support your direct contract with a specific customer(s).
• Your customer must upload the direct contract to the platform through their Science Exchange admin settings.
• Once the customer uploads your direct contract through their admin settings, all future orders with this customer will be governed by the direct contract and the terms will be automatically referenced on your future quotes and purchase orders for that customer.
• Please note: Your customer’s Science Exchange admin must be the one to upload your direct agreement into the platform in order for work to be covered under that agreement. Please do not leave notes on a quote referencing a direct agreement or other terms and conditions.
• If you require your work to be processed under a direct agreement or additional terms are required, please ask your customer to reach out to their Science Exchange admin or to support@scienceexchange.com.

Ready to sign the Supplier MSA?

• Once you receive the Science Exchange Supplier MSA, please review it and have an authorized signatory electronically sign the agreement. 
• Once your MSA is executed with Science Exchange you can:
• immediately work with customers on Science Exchange—this includes dozens of large pharma and many biotechs. 
• bring new customers onto the platform, to help make it easier for them to work with you. 
• You will not need individual CDAs, MSAs, or MTAs with any customer you interact with or do business with through Science Exchange. Your Science Exchange MSA covers your ability to work with every customer in the marketplace.

How does Science Exchange ensure IT and data security and privacy?

• Security and privacy are very important to us.  Our marketplace has been certified by an independent third-party auditor and is:
  • SOC 2 certified
  • ISO 9001 certified
  • GDPR compliant
  • HIPAA compliant

• Science Exchange is the centralized billing and legal entity for every order. 
• All invoices should be sent to invoices@scienceexchange.com. 
• You will be paid directly from Science Exchange.

What are the payment terms? 

• Payment terms on Science Exchange are governed by the buyers and vary from customer to customer with the average terms of Net 75.
